致電回家得悉外公於前天(29/03/2004)去世, 昨天(30/03/2004)火化出殯, 終年八十五歲. 也許這是對一個受難多年老人的解脫: 暮年喪偶, 痛失獨子, 頑疾纏身, 媳孫欺侮. 他見證了文革對人性的摧殘, 他見證了人性中陰暗的一面. 他一生中逆來順受, 擇善固執, 對人厚道. 他去世代表了一個現代中國社會書香世家的沒落. 不過我相信他會為他的外孫感到驕傲與安慰. 因為我相信下一代書香世家會由我們這一輩開始薪火相傳延續下去.
人對太容易得到的事物/ 利益/ 權益通常不會懂得珍惜, 甚至視為理所當然. 我的表弟(母系長子嫡孫/ 獨子)便是這一類人. 在他眼中別人都是生來虧欠他的. 他從不懂得"尊重"這個名詞. 當然, 他可以選擇自己的人生. 不過一個只懂佔人便宜, "走精面"的人注定難成大器. 相信不久將來母系親友和朋友對他也會"敬而遠之".
富與貴，是人之所欲也；不以其道得之，不處也。

Ka Wai do a IQ test in emode, scored 129. Then I do it, suprisely scored 136. According to our conclusion, this test is not accurate.
They burn the mid-night oil for assignment now, can't sleep well.
In theory, since I'm left handed (homozygote recessive), my right brain development should be better, however, the tests demonstrated I'm strong in analysis and presentation (which is driven by left brain). This proof the phenotype can preempt the genotype by education and environmental factors. To a normal right-handed person, their left hand in general handle precise action well. This is vice versa to the left-handed person. This became a problem when I had AL Chem / Bio Lab. as the equipments are designed for the right-handed person.
Don't know this is luck or unluck, because I broke my left fore arm three times when I were F3 to F4. Therefore I was forced to use my right hand to do everything. As a result, I developed my brain evenly.
So I'm "cracked brained" now. ^^
By natural selection, the human being who choose homosexual will be eliminated by default (i.e. their "defected" gene will not pass to the next generation). However, with the development of Gene technology, this will generate the problem because there are chance for these people development their "Next" generation using the technology. In fact, this is not a matter about discrimination over sex aptitude, but the problem of human being future. Violate the natural rules usually generate disaster.

記得中三時閱讀人性的弱點和強者的哲學, 那時候以為自己已經透徹了解書中的道理.
可是現在回想起來, 原來自己對書中的觀點很多是一知半解.
也許人生經歷會使人對人性有不同的理解與演繹. Maybe need to read this book again when I came back HK as "好書不厭百回看".

Tomorrow need to hand in another report... get annoyed by the rent stuff.
Overloaded and unconcious in university sem room.... sleep for about 1 hrs.

Today steam meat with egg for dinner, when I leave for a while, my dear roommate rush into our room and announce us that the steam egg may over burn. because of the colour turn into black. I just reply with "or". I forget to tell her that I steam beef with egg, not pork with egg. When beef is heated, it just turn black because of the iron ions in haemoglobin of beef. Anyway, thanks for her concern.
