After the tiring week, next week will be much more demanding to me.
It seems like a ‘死亡一週’~:p

But before that, I can have a very short break.

I given up at 1:00am 'this morning' and went to bed. As my brain and body were so tired that they couldn't process anything!
I browsed the ref. about prion protein on web but I failed to get a full picture of it.
All I have done was made a table of comparison between PRPC and PRPSc.
So sorry to my partners la....:(

Get up at 9:00 this morning. I was so tired that I have thought of skipping today's church sermon.
But I don't think that would be a good idea and so I get out of bed.
Although I was physically present, I was not mentally well prepared. I failed to concentrate well and feeling頭重重(perhaps I have not totally recovered from the flu la)
主日學好攰ar，輪流讀聖經時有少少食螺絲la~~

Lunch finally not at 「飯堂」la. Go to Delifrance.
I really like Delifrance more than Bristo Delifrance. The two little children sitting next to us are really cute~kee Especially the little brother~

希望佢唔記得la....

Ryan sent me a uwants forum link. Another round of complaining Kuby started.
Frankly, I don't like her much too. But I think writing those stuffs on web only do harm to school's reputation and no use in improving current situation.
Moreover, using foul language is totally unacceptable! So rude and that's not a secondary school students should do.
Expressing idea is good. But please do it in an appropriate manner and be rational.
I have read a few entries, some of them gave me the feeling that the writer is a bit childish and when he/she was writing that entry, he/she might be quite emotional and exaggerated some of the facts.

See if I can find out more on Tue.

Now, I have to prepare for tomorrow's presentation la.
(Have to go back at 8:45! Picking my swimming pack at hostel and go to ITSC to discuss the presentation details)

本CBC既書重到.........加上仲有笛la, 各科notes, 一d雜項要帶返屋企，真係好重!><

今日interpretation做sight translation同consecutive translation。
Sight trans由英文既ST譯做中文易過中文既ST傳做英文好多~
第一次試Consecutive translation，估中左係<千禧BB>既sound clips，不過對於翻譯係無幫助ga.........=.="
有d完全聽唔到，dead左係到，有時就唔記得左佢前一句講左d乜，滴晒汗.................

坐我隔黎既女仔讀英文教育ga，傾傾下知道Eddy係佢組爸wor!哈哈
世界真係好細~~佢對中學時期既eddy好有興趣bor~:p

同jasmine係NA can食lunch。
之後去U Lib睇CBC同Ecology既書，睇左無幾耐恰着左............... :(

語精，多得陳生中三逼我地背d「冬懂棟篤、文吻問物、中種仲竹」呢d野，調音變得好容易。
不過反切唔多得ar............
又攰到恰着左十分鐘到.........

早左15分鐘完，但返到屋企都成七點la。
Unpack左d野整埋晒又8:00，但仲未整ppt，我真係好攰ar.............

It has been an exhausting day.
What I did in ecology lesson was jotting down we saw on the ppt. Prof Wong said we need not copy every single word down.
But before I can have a through understanding of the topic, I better jot down everything so that I can do the follow up easier.

Maggie and I used only 6 minutes to run to the chapel from煲底! A RECORD!!
But it's tiring, you know~:p
Trying to concentrate on what our guest speaker said but I finally I dozed off for a while....
Mainland students were keen on asking questions.

Have my first 書通 at Li Koon Chun Hall.
When Prof. Cheung asked what's the different between 學院and 書院, he said, '民生就叫書院jei,不過佢英文好似唔係叫College wor.'
我呆左一呆，做乜無lala提民生ar? (又唔係特別出名wor~請看下文分解)

There were some gap before my next function so went to ITSC to check on WebCT.

真的很玄，的確是卡夫卡的，很有哲學味道~哈哈
(按：編劇兼導演後來解釋話卡夫卡係一個已故捷克以作一些、危險、恐怖的小說而著名的一位作家。因為他太出名，後來人把「卡夫卡的」當作一形容詞去表示一些危險、恐怖、虛無飄渺的東西)

胡宗華成為Elaine既偶像，佢不停咁話瘦身後要去識佢wor~kakaaa
霍德龍個粧近睇有d似疆屍ga~:p
M的spider man造型也很掂!

我中六既mentor Philip Wong都返左去睇drama ar，估唔到佢認得我同fung呢~ ^^
講開中大，佢話早幾日同Jennifer同佢先生食過飯，問我知唔知佢係中大通識既dept. head。
我諗左陣…… dept head，咪今日教我書通o個個Prof lor!?
我問：「係咪張教授ar?」
佢話係，張燦輝教授，哲學系的，咁就一定無錯tim la，因為prof今日介紹自己時都係咁講ga ma。
同返mentor講，我今日晏晝"�"琱W完佢堂~哈哈

Cindy Lau都返左去睇，估唔到佢而家轉左去恆商教ar!:o

20 mins later I'll be having my Ecology lab la!
But I still don't undertand the statistical stuff in the lab menu....:(
Don't know how will things turn out to be, I wish it wouldn't be a disaster la.......

Don't have laptop in hostel which is a little bit inconvenient, I guess things will turn out to be better when I bring dad's laptop to it next week.
Still need more time to adapt to the new environment.

Gotta go now, type my diary later la~

我add到ELT既improving translation la!!! YEAH!!

I have already given up the hope of finishing ELT this year. But when I check my CUHK mail box today at ITSC, the course registration letter came as a little surprise! Kee (really happy about that)

Finally can have 21 credits la~hahaaa
Now my schedule is much full, no time to have lunch on Mon and have 8:30 lesson on Thursday, satisfied~=]
Sometimes I think I am a little bit strange. I would like to transfer to HKU Speech, so why do I take so many courses this year? (if I can successfully transfer, though the chances of successfulness tends to zero, this year's credits and effort would be a waste)
I have thought of this for some time. And my answer to myself is—I don't want to have a hea u life.
Even the credits cannot be transferred, it seems to be a waste, but the things I will have learnt throughout this year will always on my mind. Who knows when I can make use of them later?
I won't regret for my choices la.
It's the same like picking the science stream instead of the arts stream. I might have higher achievement if I had chosen arts, but studying biology is what I enjoy~hee)

Okay~ have digress a lot in my diary tim, let's go back to today's stuff.
Have my first Lab in the university. Things tuned out to be better than expected.
My lab partners are Amy, Maggie and Elco. All of use have different specialties which help to do the experiments well~hee ^^

Today we use stage micrometer to measure the length of Monia. When I talked to my partners, they have never used that in their Bio lab exam. This really surprises me as Luk sir told use that EAA requires each student to have this experience ga ma.
Anyway, it's lucky that I have tried that before which help me to use it easily.
Maggie is very 細心, she can use the tissue paper to absorb the excess stain without moving the Monia!=]

用支針去篤爆d Monia去睇下佢地carry幾多隻eggs真係好好玩ga!我地四個都好鍾意~哈哈(有點殘忍吧!:p)

We finished our experiment quickly. It's only 4:30 when we finished!
And can leave at 5:00. So good that we only have to hand in the report next next week, so I do not need to rush home and finish it tonight.
Have sufficient time to do it la and hopefully the result will be satisfactory.
Must add oil in my first lab report to make a good start~hee

I am really hungry now, gotta summarize my lab data quickly and have my dinner la~

P.S .My 中銀咭is out of order.... Can't get money form 自動櫃員機..... but I have no cash in hand now....:O

Thanks Simon helped me carry the heavy stuffs to CU la~ ^^

I was not fast enough to jot down all the handouts on the ppt.... :(
But I used a shortcut method to help me-- taking photos of those ppt~kee

I understand why Prof. doesn't upload the ppt for us, actually I am not greedy. All we want is to have more time to jot down the things written on the ppt.

Bio舊書買賣, bought 3 books, one for BCB, one for Ecology and the other is Molecular Biology.
Those books cost me $430.....And I have only 70 dollars left in my purse....:O

組爸bought a really nice cake~hee

Then attend translation lesson. I really enjoy it~:)

As there was uch time before my next activity, I went to the bank to get my credit card and open an account.
Then went to Maxim's to buy birthday cake for 大O's gathering.
It was Maggie first time to visit my hostel ar~hahaa
And my first time to meet another roomate--Panda~hee

Wait for a looong long time. Went through the pre-lab talk notes once but failed to understand the fomula.......><
Took a nap, when I woke up, it's already 6:30pm. I decided not to join the gathering lu, since it was too late and I had FEG meeting ma

Fung made a really delicious and beautiful birthday cake!!
It's a pitty that Charles couldn't come la(It was his birthiday ma~)

Back to CU with Daydrew at 11:00pm.
Tired. Flipping through the Ecology text book to get some inspiration about tomorrow's lab but in vain....

Then went to bed lu, i guess my roomates slept much later than I did la.
Somehow miss home!!

Up to this moment, I don't like university life very much.
May be I still need some time for adaptation.
It is no denying that a day off is good, however, I prefer a fixed schedule like secondary school which is much more routine.
Anyway, I have to get use to it as soon as possible.
My first mid-term is on 5/10 which is about 2 weeks far ONLY!!!
I really want to get B+ ar~ First and foremost, I should digest all the BCB ppt first....=.=''

Finally picked my flute after 2 weeks of coughing....
Arrive HKU on time.
Thanks Vivien for keeping a seat for us in advance~:)
And thanks Mandy helping me buy the laptop. (I should wait until the 2nd week of October to get it)
Well, from the short gathering we have, I do think the culture between HKU and CU is very different.
I really envy with their reading week and timetable. I just don't understand why we have a much tighter schedule....:(

Back to father's store and went to see Dr. Yau.
The situation turns better but I still have to take pills and咳藥水.
Hope I'll get well soon. I really miss sweet food soooooo much!

Tomorrow I'll be moving to my hostel la.
So much to bring in.... The entire lecture notes la, flute and its related stuff, swimming suits, some often-use medicine and perhaps dad's laptop.
So heavy!!
How could I able to take them all by myself?

Thanks Anthony for helping me la, otherwise, I guess I would be too tired to attend swimming lesson la~:p
Come across Alan Wong when we got off the train. How come I am so difficult to meet him ga….(both of us study in CU and are in CC already...)Wonder when I can return the past papers to him.

Thanks Grace for lending me the Biochem textbook, I wish I could finish it within a week la (coz I have to hand it to 阿雞 next week la)

Biochem lesson was very bad. I don't have a second that I can understand what the Prof was talking about…𠗠

As we still have some time for translation tutorial, Maggie and I went to ITSC aimed at printing notes. Finally we didn't print any coz I didn't know how to use that value-added machine ar....
Our tutor for translation is studying her PHD in CU. She is form mainland and I need some time to get use to her tone and accent.
I enjoyed the lesson~

Then went to Swimming Pool with a girl from 英文教育(I forgot her name tim!)
She got straight A in UE~wow!!
It's tiring to swim in free style as I am rather weak in it.
I have applied for CC swimming gala la!
I really want to join the 熱身賽, however, it is conducted at 5:00pm and I probably still having my lab....

Last night I went on the internet in search for the bus route to Tai Po.
However, I didn't make use of the info I found. It was because when I finished swimming lesson, it was already 4:30pm and I have my class at 5:00.
Therefore, I took the train to Tai Po Market and go there by taxi(好在唔駛跳標jei~kee)
When I knocked the door, no one was there.
I called Watson and he was still on the bus to home. Luckily I didn't have to wait for a long time.
Still, there is not much improvement. I just don't know what I can do.
I just think it was a mistake for him to enter an EMI school. He dislikes English so much that he doesn't want to in touch with anything in English i.e. all the subjects he needs to study except Chinese and Art which are conducted in Chinese.
Sign.

I was so tired that I over slept on the bus. So I got off at Kowloon City then go home.
It's already 9:00.

Tomorrow will go to HKU la, can meet Vivien and Mandy lei! Really look forward~=]

Get up at 8:10 and go to church la.
I was a bit late coz I went to 7-11 to buy sandwich for breakfast.
(Usually I don't have breakfast on Sun, but the pills are required to eat after meals so I have to eat something anyway)

急步行上三層樓梯，跟住咳死左~:p
My voice is much better today and the frequency of coughing has been greatly reduced. Therefore I still join 輔唱la。(但一想咳就會「咪嘴」喇)~hahaaa

Feeling very sleepy during the sermon, the pills are really powerful la.
Thanks Elaine help me to transfer the past paper to 小蓓. ^^

Not very hungry during lunch time and I bought a salad for lunch.
Its taste was better than expected~hee

Choir practise. I failed to reach some keys....:(
Mum told me that the staff from香港寬頻called home and said he would arrive at 5:00pm, so I have to go home immediately after practice la.
(My plan to Mongkok to buy some new water plants had therefore be called off)
Last time on the telephone booking, that staff said my timeslot was 9:30 -11:00pm ga bor, how come it turned out to be so early?
Never mind, which will be good anyway.

This time the guy was much better than previous one.
Still, I couldn't get a new broadband connected as we have changed the telephone socket when we moved in.
The only solution is to let the wire hang on the wall.... But father would definitely bend this idea. So I just cancelled the appointment lor.

So many staff to bring to hostel tmr!:o
And don't know how my 2nd swimming lesson will be lei?

想不到星期六竟是我最早上堂的一天，返9:30呀!
不過我還是早了半個鐘便去到人文館。
無野做去左錢穆圖書館睇下雜誌!原來我好耐無睇過英文既文章啦( academic notes and materials另計la~)

Introduction to Interpretation
那位missy係o係法庭做傳譯gei，而家轉左去做train人地唔駛上庭(即係升左職啦~:p)
好好玩ar!我對呢科好有興趣。
Missy畀左20分鐘時間我地去睇9頁既materials(係SCMP既新聞同editorial)，但夠鐘時我淨係睇到第8頁既1/4左右ja，好慢呀.......><
之後佢續個叫我地做sight interpretation，it's funny~:)
咁就上左三個鐘堂la，完全唔覺時間過~哈哈

死la~點解我會鐘意minor既subjects多過major ga? 好懷疑自己係咪揀錯科lor……
不過讀bio都有advantage gei，第日如果做medical interpreter就會容易d(不過香港暫時仲未有wor!得美國請ja~)

另一樣值得提gei，係今個暑假入面其中三個機場義工都take呢個course ar!!好有緣~
包括amanda(major in translation), jasmine( LLB)同埋我! ^^

教得好好ar，一d都唔悶。
同埋粵語拼音無想像中咁難(暫時)，但o個20個聲母+53個韻母就要努力背左佢la。
入唔到speech的確幾失望下，不過而家都一樣有得學粵語拼音同埋學點發準d音，都算係唔錯la~
原來我地好多平時講野都係發錯音ga，esp l同n音, g同gw(好在呢個我無錯到~:p), k同kw etc.

估唔到語精都會有scholarship呀!

聽日唔駛補習，可以休息下lu。
今晚要kill埋淨返既8個amino acids!!

好悶ar!!不過我都乖乖地坐係度聽。
但食完藥之後終於忍唔住中左幾下……

6:15出到city lu~
未有人到，坐係canteen繼續背o個20個amino acids.......加油!
食左飯就去房開會la(走既時候見到有個男仔着住<``輝婷>既大組tee，好似係琦琦黎ga!)
今日d課室好full，個個都有人上堂，結果去左2樓既open area度傾。
我有d呆滯ar~~><

明天星期六，仍是要上課的……仲要full day wor~~:(
