今日on duty, 忙到抽根, 係 reception 由 9:30 做到 12:00 先有時間返房 take voice message 同履 message, lunch ime 後情況無大加變.....

今日 Liz, Ian, Paul 全部 off, 得番我同 "K的" 兩件, 紫色背心咁開心.......仲要昂後伸懶腰......distraction 開唔到工呀..........

朝早有個 OBE 太平紳士都左黎 Civic Office 搵我吹水, 話說佢係我手上一個 case 嘅 neighbour, 又係其中一個 objector, 70-73年係香港幫 governor 辦事咁話, 仲話果幾年住係深水保, 一入到黎就問我係未姓陳, 之後話剛 arm 係 civic office 對面 police headquarter 見完個 police officer 又係姓陳, 問我係未我老婆.......我咁後生唔似結左婚呀話 (雖則呢度D靚妹靚仔十幾歲就搞大肚生仔), 竟然有鬼妹肯跟中國人姓!? 阿占睇黎你前景仲未黑得晒.........同條友吹左成粒鐘, 封 objection letter 成5,6頁長過我份 report..........

Admin 嘅 Becky 搵緊一個 housemate, 同屋仲有另外兩個鬼妹, 個個 21, 2歲扑扑脆認真諗得過, 剩係日日睇住佢地包住條浴巾周屋走都值回票價, 不過問題係同屋其中一個係同事就真係怪怪地, 仲要日見夜見唔多掂...... 同埋我又唔多想離開 Dingle Hill 住 wor..........

今晚場波大勝 15 比 3, 同 DJ Scott share 半場 GK, 對面多左阿 John 理應強左, 不過我地今日就無左郵差 Karl 同 Lee 兩件老鬼, 以阿 Shaun 為首嘅一班16, 17歲 high school 靘仔加埋阿占同 DJ Scott, 速度快對面兩皮......

上星期五去完 pub 蒲後感覺上同D 同事距離拉近左, 特別係同 team 嘅 Katy 同 Ian, 話說家陣4點後基本上就得番我地3個係 minor team 房留守到5點, Paul 同 Liz 多數4點就收工.......今日我地3個就係房玩完彈橡根大戰之後 lunch time 就去左公園散步同行左去海邊買雪糕食, 佢地今晚就去 cinema 睇 Hairspray, 不過我對套野無咩興趣所以唔去........Ian 條友仔又屈我........."James is not interested in the movie......not interested to go with Katy".......又老屈........

下晝係阿頭房傾左 45 分鐘我手頭上嘅 case, 阿占係時候上進D make some progress, 再唔係就遲早俾人省......一入阿頭房就同佢講 "Declan I think I need a break", 之後就俾我預先填好嘅 leave record form 俾佢睇, 佢望張 record form 一下問我有無好地方去之後就簽左名.....17/9 - 21/9 week off, 仲剩番 18日 leave...........

價錢關係行程有變, Book 左機票 17/9 - 21/9 去捷克布拉格, 機票 95 鎊尚可接受, 4,5日慢慢行慢慢玩, 預計全程洗 350 - 400 鎊到, 錢呢家野無所謂啦, 搵得黎就洗得去, 最緊要大地任我行享受人生

下一次遠行就係年尾果10日, 上年去左奧地利過白色聖誕, 今年去邊度好呢?

一早去 supermarket 買野撞到同事 Kath 同佢個女, 個細路見到阿媽係街叫一個來歷不明嘅中國籍男子一臉莫名其妙.......

Kath 係 department 每間房貼左 invitation card, 話說佢 8月10日生日, 放工後又去 pub 飲野, 阿占俾人 "蛾" 左幾日, 終於都話左出席.......可惡嘅 Katy 同 Ian.........老屈呀

今日 Viv 榮休 leaving do, 一眾同事放工後去 pub (Wetherspoons) 把酒吹水, 比想像中少人出席, 而阿占就更加由 6:30 留到 10:00, 實在唔係一個好開始, 下次無藉口推.........

好在今日揸車載埋 Ian 去 Pub, 所以只係飲左一杯 Stella 啤酒咁大把, 同埋食左 LASAGNA, 仲要係 Ian 俾錢, 如果唔駛揸車, 班同事一人買我一細杯威士忌都飲死我........

K的去蒲好索.......已經成為 department 之花

Ian 又係飲到傻傻地

班友仔又有下半場, 我就揸車返屋企

聽香港 radio 講開強積金, 又保本, 又進取.....又呢樣又果樣, 身邊D朋友無不是為此費心, 不過阿占見自己係威爾斯前景未卜所以就未供 pension (每月供 6%)

睇番 UK local government 嘅 Local Government Pension Scheme, 聽D同事講係英倫三島數一數二最好嘅 pension scheme, 係堅定流就不得為知, 不過重要 features 就有:

如果D錢係攞返香港駛嘅話唔駛做而每月有 £898 (HK$ 14,000) 都已經算唔錯, 唔好忘記以上 calculation 係假設65 歲前都係搵 1,800 鎊一個月........所以實際收嘅 lump sum 同 pension 應該比 web calculator 計嘅結果為多.......咁退休生活就可以比較財政穩定同無憂啦

今日收到手頭上其中一個 application 來自 local community council 嘅 consultation response, 話說係一個 retrospective application (listed building application + extension application), 一個 owner 係佢間 hotel (listed building) 出面未經 planning department 同 CADW (Welsh Assembly Government's historic environment division) 批準起左一個 outdoor smoking/decking area, 此為 criminal offence, maximum penalty 係入獄12 個月 and/or 無定額同無上限罰款.........

第一次感覺到咩野係政治壓力, 個 local community council 俾我封信內容如下:

"Dear Mr Chan......The application was unopposed but you were asked to considered the following comments:

This hotel and pub business, which occupies a central position in the village, has been mismanaged in the recent past and the windows were boarded up and the place was closed. By now, a young family has spent a lot of money to try and life this business back onto its feet and make a living there. We REQUEST that you not be HEAVY-HANDED and BUREAUCRATIC regarding this applicant, beyond that which is necessary according to guidelines.......

The Councillors are eager for you to be aware that they do not approve doing work before obtaining appropriate permission but they do URGE you to ALLOW this."


不幸地收到上頭 order 叫我 "睇緊" D個 application, 更不幸地我收到 Principal Planning Officer (Conservation and Regeneration) 嘅 consultation response "everything's wrong, wrong material, wrong colour, wrong design, wrong size.....", 即係作為 case officer 嘅我看似無轉彎餘地, 同 applicant 個 agent negotiate 嘅時間睇黎都可以免, 實行 refuse 完個 application 之後搵 enforcement section 班同事出 enforcement notice 拆野.......就算 applicant 向 planning inspectorate appeal 睇怕都係 dismiss 居多.......

DC manager Phi 叫我 "Oh dear Jacky" - what Jacky? "Jacky Chan"? Chinese martial art?

Paul 叫我 "Jimbo" - Oh.....同 James 有咩關係???

Ian 叫我 "Jimmy" - 話說佢鍾意 Jimmy 呢個名, 自從我同佢改左 Gibbs 呢個名後佢就 "報仇" 咁狂叫我 Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy ...............

班 high school 學生哥波友叫我 "Jay" - 單音踢波叫名方便
