Someone asked if I have another interview after my previous one. "None" was my answer.




This morning Father reminded me one thing, that my worth/success isn't base on the external circumstances:

"The pastor whose worth is based on his goal to win his community for Christ, have the best youth ministry in town, or increase giving to missions by 50 percent is headed for a fall. These are worthwhile desires, but they are poor goals by which to determine his worth because they can be blocked by people or circumstances. Rather he could say, "I'm going to be the pastor God wants me to be." That's a great goal because nothing can block him from achieving it."

Driving Lesson 3

SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW!!! Doing many turnings today, but frankly, I had a very unhappy lesson. Avi said that I accelerated when I turned left, I shouted at him a few times, arguing "I DIDN'T!". My foot was off from the padal, I really didn't accelerate! This lesson he mainly pointed out that when I turn, the speed should be not higher than 10 km/h.

I can't make it!

Turning point... enrolled in Business Administration!

The TOLL PRIORITY Van that came yesterday actually delivered my course materials. I saw a text book "MYOB" in the box, I didn't know that I need to study accouning! Hahahha... but anyhow, it should be okay, as I have studied LCC before. And if a school leaver can take this course, I bet I can make it too!

I am still waiting for the college to send me my enrolment confirmation letter. Yet it's funny, I have already attempted my first assignment this morning! 22 assignments for the whole course!!! I will do my best!

I am back to business! During my high school years, we have Science class, Arts class and Commercial class. And I was in F. 4 Com and F.5 Com. We used to shout "5 COM!"/ "5 ARTS"/ "5 SCIENCE", you know, there are always competition among these areas in the school. And always there will be rumours that if you are a poor student, you will usually get into commerical class. Yet the best and smart student, into science class. Well, but I wondered why, when Science students finished high school, most of them went ahead to business at uni. Scientist doing business...um...? Well, as a "musician", I didn't entered Arts but went to Commercial, huh...?

Although I have YAHOO Blog, Xanga, Friendster Blog & My Space... I am in favour of using SHOWHAPPY.NET. Perhaps, this is where, really my turning point started to have a decent record!

Okay, another turning point today. A VAN was being driven into our driveway just now. And to my surprise, it stopped infront of my hut! (Many surprises these days!). "TOLL PRIORITY", says on the van, at that point, I realized that it's something from Sydney.

Oh... I realized that I have no idea what to write for the two categories "CAREER OBJECTIVES" and "KEY COMPETENCIES", I finally deleted these 2 columns in my resume :P for this casual position!

I love to play around with English, but how can I tell it nicely and formally to my may-be-boss? This may-be-my-boss is looking for candidates who are creative and intellligent as well. How can I show it? Am I intelligent? (I know I am diligent, but not necessary intelligent...)

Congratulations on your graduation. From your emails over the last few years I can tell that you have had a very enjoyable and successful time at university. Well done.

I saw an ad today, it's a casual work which pays $30 per hour. Sometimes, really, I think that, if there is "stable" casual work, you really can earn a living! Imagine $30 per hour!!! At my first glance, I have given up for applying. But then I read the ad again and added it to my short list. After awhile, I return to the ad, and wanted to give a go. I am not sure what's the company is doing, but the duty would be like: researching, proof reading, editing and summarizing documents. Oh, proof reading - it's just a piece of cake for me! And also editing and summarizing, I have done quite a lot of training on those exercise since schooling in SRL 'til now!

I tell my Heavenly Father each day I start my job search, "I am excited about using the gifts and talents You have given me." Since I drafted my first resume for work, I can see that "admin" is one of the gifted areas in my life. I don't know when I will be needed/valued in a company/organization and be paid for my gifts. But I want to look forward ^.^ !

Thinking of doing proofreading & summaries, I recalled my life in Embassy. It was Oct 2002, where I studied an English course before entering uni and also it was in Embassy that I met Fiona McGuigan. Hahaha, I still keep in touch with some of the teachers there. Above is an encouraging msg from her ^.^ !

Driving Lesson 2

Today, Avi instructed me. He's an instructor for the auto car. Another shocking experience... when I got home, I tried to fill my little log book. I have driven in residential area today, also undivided main road, road with trams and also the HIGHWAY!!!

Wa... great experience!

When he pointed out my mistakes and stopped the car in the middle of the road, I actually wanted to cry infront of him. Last lesson, I was only doing the stiring, and I do not need to "look after" the road condition. However, this lesson was like... I need to control the car by myself with myself, taking all the responsibilities.

His approach is very different with Shown. Shown... is going step by step. And Avi... letting me make mistakes and learn along the way. And I found it more comfortable to drive a manual car. The auto car is too AUTOMACTIC!!!

Driving Lesson 1

Commenced my driving lesson today (02.11.07). The instructor is an old man. After we have greeted each other, he invited me to pop into the driver's seat. I was shocked & hesitated. I have never thought that I can sit in the driver seat for my 1st lesson. And sure I have never imagined that I would be "driving" for my 1st lesson!

You know, student won't play the violin in their first lesson... and evening learning other instruments/comptuters... the first lesson is like an introduction & more on knowledge stuff...

Oh well, I popped into the driver's seat anyway!

My instructor is Shown. He gave me a briefing to start with. Not long after, I was shocked again! I noticed that I was in a manual car. OSP! Did the company or myself make a mistake? I wanted to drive an auto car!!! He asked if I would like to call the company and change the car... However, since I have reserved some time this afternoon for driving lesson, I thought I can still have a go.

So, I am "driving" on the road... I know people dislike drivers who do zigzags, who drive super slowly and without any caution. Wahahaha, at least I know that the brothers in my cell hate those drivers! I'm sorry I am one of them :P ! Oh well I love the "L" plate, coz no one will get near those cars!

Anyway, I have attempted a few times to stop with the crutch padal & the brake and also tried to make left turns in my 1st lesson. I thought I need to put much effort to apply the brake, but to my surprise, I need to crutch & brake VERY gently! And while stiring the wheel for the left turn, I thought that I can gently stir, yet I was wrong, many times I can't make the car to turn left, I am too "GENTLE"!

當時他只是在身上∕車上是是但但找點東西給我作記念吧！

明天學車了，我會把匙扣跟身，匙扣上有一個祝福：祝您行車平安！

（不過，我不是依靠這玩意去安全行車。）

Another version...

Preparing my resume again. This is the 4th time I am taking the time to modify it. "TAYLOR YOUR RESUME" - this was something I learned in the career workshop, and that's why, I spend time to edit my CV and make it FIT to the postion that I am applying each time. I think it works and employers can sense if applicants are sending in a GENERAL resume.

Although it seems that I am ACTING slowly, but I know that I have learned a lot and I have done a lot of research in the past few weeks. Perhaps, I am just being TOO CAREFUL and TOO SELECTIVE.

Um, sending out another application today, hope something will happen soon! God bless. Seems that I am regularly typing entries to this diary system. If one day, or a couple of days that you didn't see me here... I bet, I will have a job by then... Yesterday I made a decision and my life will change a bit... looking forward...

Thursday Nov 1, finally I didn't head off to the city for the concert in the BMW Edge. I thought of asking someone to accompany me, but it was rather a bit late to invite my friends to come along. It's raining now. And just an hour ago, I realized that some cold symptoms appear again. I missed the concert. Er, maybe, if I went, I will worsen my health. Will have to look forward for the next concert of my teacher David & Liz.
