Today's gonna be my last working day this week.
Hopefully I can work Mon - Thur next week, with Friday & Saturday OFF, plus Sunday for studies.
I am not sure if I am pushing myself to earn a living...
Ash told us that the Carrum Down Office is for training, and once we are asked to do a real job, we will be working in the Skye Road Office, which is further down in Frankston. It will be a longer travelling time for me. I just hope that I am safe and sound when I leave my workplace at 9pm each time!
After knowing what is market research and working in the call centre, I began to respect and appreicate those people who do cold calls for telemarketing/market research. I use to receive a lot of these calls in the evenings, I hate that, coz they waste my time. But afterall, these folks are working to earn a living maybe... And those people who are calling aren't those who SELL you something, they are just working on a project as told.

22:43, dinner done. Looking forward to see what time I will finish dinner tomorrow... :P
Some stats: 215 calls dialed today, 8 person answered my survey plus I am again on the 4th of the group.
My colleagues:
Amanda - bet she's from Malaysia. Was late to work 3 times.... hahah~ I tend to remember the negatives!
Asif, met him during the briefing, but then he was sick and just met his brother.
Ash, he wanted to kill me when he knew that I have made more dials than him. 14 person answered his survey!!!
Jimmy drove me to Clayton Station, he mentioned that he's not happy when he came the last on the group. Attempting for ieslts & the PR. Suspecting that he's buddhist.
Melisa, she's so happy in the 2nd half of the shift, no survey done on the 1st half, then 10 surveys came in!
Robin, he doesn't need the pay, but coming here for fun. He is proposing to give award the the Top 1 each night. We speak the same introduction when calling people, I have no idea why he can do SO MANY surveys!!! I bet he comes from a rich family.
Siska was absent today. I have no idea what happened to her. So far, we are the closest among the group. But since I have signed the contact - no mobile phones at workplace, I can't call her this afternoon...
They are my colleagues, and we started together, on the same day and doing the same shift. I hope we will continue to work in the same slot of time. In Jimmy's car tonight, I am so delighted wtih 215 dials, but in contrast, he is dead tired, with 2 hours of sleep/ 2 jobs today/ came last on the group/ uncerainty for PR...

I might be reading a new devotional...
TGIF (Today God is First, by Os Hillman) - Daily workplace inspriration:
http://www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/marketplace/
A new jargon learnd: "CATI" (Computer assisted telephone interviewing)
CATI is the sort of duty that I am doing. We are doing research and not telemarketing. If one day you receive my call, be nice to me ya!!!
Driving Lesson 5
Thanks God that Avi arrive on time & we were just driving among residential area today, not so hard for me...
I told Avi about my job, he said it's frustrating and no one likes to do it. On the other hand, also no one wants to co-operate. A bit of mixed feeling... still tired with travelling // excited & looking forward for what I will be encountering during work // sad

I am super tired!
I visited Carrum Downs today, it's not a tourist visit, but I went there for my job. Two months & 1 day has gone since I searched for work.
The work down there in Carrum Down relates to customer relation. I hope to gain as much experience as I can during this time when I work there. I was in the workplace for 4 hours today, tomorrow will be more terrible, 2 - 8:30pm, not to mention Wednesday & Thursday... In getting to my workplace, it takes 30 minutes train + 30 minutes bus + 20 minutes walk...

A bad week, I would say...
I didn't sleep well throughout the week. Tuesday was up until 3am, and then Wenesday, I didn't sleep 'til 9am. How terrible it was. On Friday, we sang the song "God is good, all the time". I cried. I feel that God is telling me one thing: "I am good all the time, I love you unconditionally all the time. But dear Emily, you are the one not loving yourself."
I have to admit, yes, it is I who do not love myself. I push and drag and strive!
During the transition period (5:10-5:25pm) today, I suddenly felt dizzy, physically and mentally inactive. The worship team prayed for me but I felt even more weaker and cried. This was the first time that I brought tears (visible) onto the stage. I didn't think about other things, but just to focus on my music when I was up there.
Perhaps, it was a feeling of collaspe within me.

There are no hopeless situation, but people who grow hopeless. Am I one of them?
17 November would mark the 2nd month of my jobsearch. I have received 2 official e-mails this week, both telling me that I am unsuccessful to go for the 2nd round. Phew...
It's good, isn't it? At least I do not need to wonder where my application has gone.
It's my first time getting this kind of declined replies. I cried for the first one. And the second one, it leaves me a feeling... I have looked up on the job search website today, but not as serious and as enthusiastic as before. Last week, I started to prepare for interviews (reading articles and rehearsing what to answer to interviewer's question), however, I hesitated to keep going.
Besides working on a powerpoint presentation, I've been doing non-sense for the rest of the day. Ai...

Driving Lesson 4
"Very good, very good!"
Besides Harris, I don't know any friend getting their lessons with a local / non-asian driving instructor in Melbourne. Harris got his lessons from RACV, which is super expensive, but super professional! $75 per lesson...
I went for a local driving school, I wanted an Australian to teach me. Partly I wanted to learn all the driving jargons and those terms in English and partly I know that Australians are friendly & affirm every now and then. I heard of stories that some HK driving instructors are very straight, they will shout, beat and scold. Although the outcome of the learner driver is good, but I have no intention to put myself in those learning style!
Moreover, my instructor was born in Israel! When he called me the first time, I can't identify his origin, and even seeing him, I had no clue where he comes from. At last, I asked him... (Israelite... I wonder if Heavenly Father has something more for me in giving me an instructor from Israel...)
Well, since he is not an Australian, I missed what I want - affirmations! Haha, he doesn't keep saying "GOOD" whenever I have done something. But he is a bit of, nagging type, I would say. After the last lesson, I learned and keep in mind to turn with a SUPER SLOW SPEED! 4, 5 km/h, at such, he would give me a "very good". When I know what he is after, every turn in today's lesson is of that speed, wahahaha, so imagine how many "very good" I have earned today!!!
I was a bit shocked when we finally arrive, um, not, is nearly arrive to the city!!! It was around St Kilda... and also I had my first roundabout attempt today! Not long after we had started the lesson, he lead me to read the dashboard - the car was running out of petrol. So I have another experience in driving into the petrol station and watching VERY CLOSELY how my instructor do the petrolling.
By 3:45pm, which was almost time to end the lesson, we picked up another student. We were in St Kilda, so that student drove me home while she had her lesson. Avi was late and made me wait on the road for 30 minutes today! And having that student drive me home, it took me another 30 minutes. I should be MAD if I am having some schedules around. But since I am JOB-free and SCHEDULE-free, he is safed from being sacked by me!!!
XXXXX
From my 2nd lesson onward, whenever I am settled into driving on the road, I would go and ask Avi, "How are you today?". I was glad I was driving a striaght road when I asked him today, so there were more to chat along. He asked why I don't go and teach. I offered to teach him piano and in turn he teach me driving, sounds good ya? Well, I remembered in my last lesson, he offered that, when I get a job, he would pick me up from my workplace (for lessons). His offer touched me. I don't know when I will get a decent job, but he, without hesitation, thinks that it won't be long.
xxxxx
I love his comment "Every job is good".

I've got my Medicare card ^.^ !!! So good! I never know that the government will issue a card to someone who is applying PR, and best of all, without any fees!
Everyone - have a blessed week!
I've just dropped my name to a company this morning for a telephone interviewer position. There are 10 vacancies, let's see if they will select me! After all, I need customer skills too!
