SUPER HAPPY!!!

While going to the city this afternoon, I have received a letter from Sydney. It was my assignment.

"EXCELLENT, HOI!" Commented by the teacher ^.^ Although it's a pass and fail, she said I've done it with 100% accuracy.

YAY!

Ridiculous! I was checking on some job ads last evening, and a lot of them require a driver licence, and some said having a car is essential. Come on! What's a music teacher suppose to do with a car?

Driving Lesson 6

I sat on the driver seat. My mind was blank, I need 10 seconds to figure out which of the pedal is a brake and which is the accelerator. My last lesson was 20 November, I haven't been driving for a week, and things look so unfamiliar to me!!! For the past 5 lessons, my instructor always ask me to turn left. We are starting to turn right now. At least I noticed that we have more right turns today!

We chatted a bit and joking about my call centre job & my workplace in Frankston. He commented that a car is not a luxury item, but something that is a MUST.

Did you know... on my 3rd day in Melbourne , I got off the train and took a bus back to my aunt's place. I didn't get off at the right stop, as every house and every street looks similar to me. After around 20 minutes, I got off the bus. I asked some people and they told me that I need to walk 30 minutes in order to get home. I asked a lady once again, and she told me the same thing. I looked at her and "acted" hopeless, she then offered me a ride. (God has mercy on me who get lost...)

When I get home, my uncle scolded me in sitting on a stranger's car. It was my 3rd day, I got lost and he scolded me while I arrived home, I got a bad feeling on him ever since.

And he said you can't live without a car in Australia. You know, I wanted to prove to him that I can live without a car and so I decided not to get a licence. (Of course there are also some side reasons) At the moment, I would say... if you are in uni, it's not necessary to get a car. And for working... it depends on the location...

Checked my a/c this morning and found that my FIRST FIRST FIRST income has been deposited to my bank a/c. Yes, I have got paid previously with piano teaching/incentives... but this is the first one I worked after uni!!!

I promised to treat a brother for a meal, but since he's in HK now, I am saved!
I have also ordered something from Amazon, getting a Christmas gift for my beloved friend.

Well, and of course 10% allocated to my heavenies funding a/c. And the rest, I have nothing special in mind... However, coming 14th, my rent will be increased to $758, what a huge rental payment. After the rent, I won't have that much left in my a/c as well, hahhah~ see how God leads la...

This week I was booked for only 1 shift. I don't feel good & a bit worry. You know... if you are doing well, they will book you for a job. I might call my company tomorrow, trying to get a shift on Sunday. I just hope that I don't give a bad impression to the person in charge of the shift roster.

My first time working on Sunday... 10-5pm shift. By the end of the day, our dear Supervisor of the supervisors has called himself "stupid-visor". Jobs weren't going good today. Interviewers didn't trun up for work, neither do repsondants answer our surveys.

Well, the hightlight of the day... besides earning 6.5 x $16.4 from work, the highlight was the dinner at night. My dearest cell-mates went for strawberry & cherry picking. I know they passby Frankston, where I worked... However, they returned before 5pm, so they can't pick me up from work. I took trains to Box Hill to join them for dinner.

During my 1.30 hours train ride... I questioned if they already have dinner by the time I arrived. As they should be very hungry coming back from a fruit picking trip. Then I got a headache and found myself struggling to go to Box Hill. "Why not stay home and take a good good rest. After all, I left home at 8am this morning..."

Finally, God wins la!!! Hahaha~ and I enjoyed a big feast plus sending Ka Hou back home.

Get scolded thousand times today during my shift.

This is the most remarkable respond that I've got: "Dear, it's Sunday and I am taking a day off, I think you should as well!"

Arrived at Frankston at 9am today. Went around the city there... it's good if I can take a 1 hour lunch break, the mall is quite big in Frankston, lots of stuff and shops. Also the beach along Frankston line, it would be nice to walk along the beach before work =), just afraid I'll be late...

It was 10pm at Caulfield Station, you finished work in the office in Frankston, you are dead tired and just got off of the Frankston train to change platform, the train won't come in 25 minutes, which of the following will you choose?

a) treat yourself a KFC meal
b) take a cab and return home as soon as possible
c) pay your friend to chat with you

"NO SERVICE..." I read on the notice board that there were no train service. I actually thought of getting a cab, but I went to the service station and confirmed about the train service. He told me that it' the Cheltenham to Modialloc stations, my line wasn't affected.

Then, remembering that I haven't had my dinner yet, I try to get somehthing from KFC, but it was closing.

Next, I called my friend. I need people to keep me awake on the train and keep me accompanied when I am in the train station. My friend asked for incentive, what a joke! I just earned $349... by now...

I love to meet people who value efficiency!

There it is... I've received a reply for my 5th job application. I opened the e-mail and searched for the word "SORRY" or something like "WE HOPE YOU WILL GET A JOB SOON"... But there was none. Then, I saw the name of the secretary who has typed the e-mail - she's someone that I know well.

Oh... then this "she" must have read/seen/judge/whatever at my resume. And although I used my full name, I bet she recognize me by the details in the resume too. I am feeling a bit nervous... I actually don't feel comfortable to work in a company where I know one or more of the colleagues there. Or what if I meet my friends IN an interview, where they are the interviewer and I am the interviewee? I thought of calling this friend and have a chat, as she might know how many applicants were there, or rather she can teach me some tricks ya!

I've got a feeling that I should write some more on the cover letter, at least more obvious of my strengths...

Um... God leads...

I shall shut up and wait...

I will

The supervisor of our supervisors called me just now. There will be work tomorrow and afterwards in Carrum Down, however, I dropped the shifts and asked to work in Frankston instead of the Carrum Down office. I need to wait for another day before someone from the Frankston office to call and book me in.

A bit of disappointment for myself... as I am expecting that I can work tomorrow... Did I make a good choice? In the long run, I know working in the Frankston office is better for me... at least I should be able to walk to the train station.

Phew...

Fingercrossed for now.

Does that work...? WORK + STUDY + FRIENDS/ FELLOWSHIPS + CHURCH

My fellows are out there playing bads today, and I have chosen to stay home for some studies. I haven't get a chance to look at my 2nd assignment for the past 7 days. I hope that I can finish my 2nd assignment by end of November. Literally if I am submitting 2 asssignments per month, I can graduate in a year.

But is that the case? I was in bed this afternoon. Seems my body is not yet receovered from tiredness.

"Thumb up" for all those having work & study church fellows!

Preparing my 5th application... So nice that I can insert the cateory "employment experience" now.

Thanks Father!

Um... actually after my last shift on Thursday, I have a very tiny bit of feeling "uncertainty"! People asked what days I am working for the following week - I DO NOT KNOW... Currently I am experiencing what it is like to be working as a casual. I don't know when I will get booked for work...
