I was reading the news article entitled "Ten things that will change your future", to no surprise that all of these things relate to technology. Some of them are quite interesting too.

Followers of Jesus... I pray that we are not far behind changing and impacting people!

Last week, I joined another band team at church to lead the Christmas Worship Celebrations. It was my privilege to have a chance to talk with two very experienced worshippers/musicians. We shared how we worship and how our teams differ from each other. I learned their KEY to success and also get challenged with my music ministry. I shared to one of them that I look at my music as a talent and not as a gift from God. He asked if I have acquired MUSIC before I was converted. And in conclusion, I noted why there is an obstacle inside my heart.

On Saturday, while 30+ people are enjoying the beach and waves, a sister & I walked along the beach. She's afraid of the cold and I didn't want to get WET... She's a very talented pianist and recently graduated from Mel Uni. She asked me to PASS IT ON (it - music). Musicians can earn $30 bulks an hour in teaching, or $100 per hour for wedding gigs. But are we really teaching music and inspiring people...? "Music is fading, and we are the one to make it living."

Are your life circumstances advancing the gospel? Can you see the Lord's hand in your life in such a way that all of your life experiences, joys, sorrows, hardships, and training have resulted in advancing the gospel?

I read the above after my last entry. Maybe... um, no, it's certain... "not being hired as an admin in the music studio has something to do with the gospel!"

Received an e-mail. The boss will hold back the admin stuff to herself for at least one Term of school year... and regarding the teaching... she's still waiting for the current teacher's time allocations.

I feel a little disappointing not being hired for the administrative position. However, I will accept it ^.^ ~ and during the first term, I hope to catch up with my MYOB units. Who knows if she will hire me in the 2nd term, hahha~

So now...

I will be looking for part-time jobs for the morning, hopefully the workplace would be in the city, so I can catch the train to Rosanna in the afternoon. (Assuming that I will be teaching in the afternoon - evening)

Moving house on hold. Actually I have started to pack-up my things into cardboard boxes since yesterday. I hope that I will get my teaching schedule SOON! So I can send out my letter to the agent regarding my moving. And if the teaching schedule is not very full, I might need to change my mind too. At this moment, I am considering to move to Victoria Park / Merri Station.

I hope I am not thinking too far, as I have not heard a CONFIRMED answer from Wendy's music yet!

Driving Lesson 9

超 bad

Drove to Richmond today, also passed freeway and roads with tram. This is the first time I have a double lesson.

I cried...

Avi charged me with changing lanes TOO FAST, he said I should slow down a bit because there's no car behind. But my mind is following that rule - don't slow down when changing speed.

He said I didn't brake gently many times today. I use to make gentle brakes, but today I was driving on roads that I have never been driven, I was still figuring out the lanes and which way to turn next.

He said I almost crossed/out of my lane. Oh mate! I have never been over 70Km, does that make sense if I'm not yet able to control my car well at that speed.

He asked me to clear the intersection as fast as possible. I did it quite slowly. But he often says that I shouldn't accelerate when I turn. What does he want!

And then the maximum speed limit, not to under-speed by 10km, There were cars and trees surrounding me and also a round-about ahead,

I was really angry today. Any action that I took, I've my reason and follow what I learned.

Unexpected & Expecting...?

There were many questions asked by the manager, questions that I have never come across, questions that relate to music lessons and children. My respond wasn't VERY WELL, but I'd say, it's not bad.

Until at one point, she asked what I will be in 5 years' time, that's a very typical question in almost all interviews. I honestly told her that I would like to do 1/2 music & 1/2 admin, a balance in my interest & my talent. Unexpectedly, she asked more about my admin side, and said there might be a POSSIBILITY that they need an administration for next year.

If she is sensitive enough, she might noticed that I am more uplifted when I was answering her admin-related questions. Even there is a change in my body language, more relaxed, more confident. In admin, I told her that "I love to...", and music, it is "I would like to...", see the difference what my heart really wants?

Part-time 30 hours as administrator in a music studio - I'm happy to do it.

Part-time 5 days a week as music teacher - I'm happy

Combination of admin & music in her studio - certainly my best preference

I did not really tell her that I like the last choice, but I open it up to her what she decide in offering me. Is she hiring me... it's yet to know. Keep waiting. I haven't told her that I may not be able to work at Friday evening & Saturday morning. Um... leave it to God to offer the best for me.


ps I visited Matthew Junior after the interview. He's so adorable!!! And I am the second visitor to this new-born, YAY!

I woke up at 7:30am, very reluctantly to leave my bed,
but I need to prepare to go to church for the morning rehearsal.

I woke up at 7:30pm, it's always very weird to note that the time is 7 something,
yet you need some time to figure out if it is in the morning or in the evening.



3 hours prior to the end of today, what shall I do now? There's an interview tomorrow...

I heard someone said that if ever a person is born in Winter times, he/she feels comfortable in the cold weather.

I like Winter. It's cold, but there can be warmth in the heart and among humans.

I just have a look at my previous post, my last 3 words:

"what about music?" was written down.

It was on the 18th.

Perhaps my Heavenly Father is answering my question...?



When I get some more spare time, I would like to read back my diary and see the linkage in between... ^.^
