It's been 9 days since I have had the group interview for the data entry position. I talked with a brother just now and he reckoned my chance to be employed there is hopeless. Oh... although I haven't heard from the company, I feel a little bit down hearing his comment.

11:00- 13:00 - badminton
15:00 - 17:00 - recording
17:00 - 18:00 - conference

Some of my cell mates had badminton session this morning, another three had a recording session and a few others went to a conference in the evening.

Me? I went to church this morning and sleep sleep and sleep in the afternoon. Feeling so good, peaceful sleep in the Lord ^.^ ! Sometimes I love to join Sunday worship celebration, haha~ there I can meet WK & Jus. I love them!!!

Visited Wantirna today, there's a music studio and I went there for a teacher's information session. After getting to know more about this school and their music lessons, I would say, it's a school which benefits the students! It has music & recreation!

I left the school and went for tea in Knox City.

Then a long way from Knox to Mitcham, from Mitcham to Richmond and from Richmond to Murrumbeena.

All the way, I am feeling terribly uncomfortable. Partly I have cut my foot while I left home at noon. And partly I wanted to know the result of last week's interview. I have put my name down for an audition for this music school but I don't actually enjoy to teach there. I value their teacher's training, but not as much serving there.

I'll need a lot of time to prepare for the audition, it involves singing, performing, teaching demonstration, etc. Can I make it in a short period of time? Can my wish come true by then?

I really want to know the result of last week.

I tried to calm down myself.

I feel confused.

I cried.

And finally I heard a voice, "your role is a job seeker", "the result has nothing to do with you".

If you ask whether I would want to wait for some more teaching works or get that data entry position, I would prefer the latter. I am expecting a call from a music school today. However, I feel like I wanted to switch my mobile off so they won't be able to contact me.

Why is that... ?

Am I fear to go into a risky earning? Or something else?

I nearly missed my train this morning, hahaha~ girls... I spend 15 minutes to dress up in normal condition. But when it comes to an interview, or a date, I need more time... I keep checking my hair & make-up before I leave the house. By 9:53am, I ran for the 9:58am train. :P

I was glad I have done some research last evening, there's a multiple choice question about the company today!!!

They say they are hiring 10 people. Today, we have 8 people in the group interview, I don't know if they will still conduct another group interview for those who can't make it today. FINGER-CROSS for me!

Besides praying that I can get into this company, I prayed... "Father, whoever needs this job, please give it to him/her." The other day, I read a book and it mentioned about team work. "To create an atmosphere for team unity, we need to sincerely pray for the others, pray that they are better than us and that their skills & talents are used. Plus, we should help them to succeed/ improve"... I often view the other applicants us my competitors, they are "enemy", but thinking deeper, we are in a team, we are wanting to serve a company with our best... So far, there is only one local, others are from China/ Indonesia/ Singapore. A very diverse background and I am the only fresh grad in the group.

Driving Lesson 10 & additional coaching by Darren

2nd Jan, I met my driving instructor. This time we tried driving in Oakleigh, the route where the driving test would be held. He let me drive slowly & observe the surrounding. It was good. Today's lesson reflected to me that I am not 100% sure which lane I should go. Sometimes (a lot of the times actually), I can't determine which is the on coming traffic and if there is a left and right lane invisibly for a left lane. I can do it in a 1 D diagram, but not quite in the real situation.

30 Dec, nice Sunday. Suz has a rare day off. Darren, Ka Hou & I visited Medway at noon. We went there to practice the worship songs & bake a birthday cake. Darren is kind enough to let me drive his car. And Suz, Ka Hou, Darren & Suz Ma are so brave & patient to sit in the car. I drove from Medway to coles and back, we went there to get the ingredients for the cake. It's the first time that Darren & I tried to bake the cake, but our chef is too independent and didn't let us assist a lot. Haha, one day I will have to take up this culture in the cell, baking birthday cakes!!!

Mama Mia!!!

It was amazing!!!! I've finished drafting the cover letter for my music teacher application!!! You know, for the last 3 music teacher applications, I didn't send them a cover letter, coz I have no idea what to write!!! Tonight, when preparing the letter, I suddenly recalled that I WAS a pianist in KFC and that I am engaged in wedding gigs a few times.

Being a pianist in KFC means that I have worked with children. My target is to teach music to children, so, that experience is a good boost to my credentials! And the wedding gigs, it shows that I am involved to deal with different people & my interpersonal skills being developed!

I have written 5 paragraphs for my music teacher application cover letter. This is the first time, as of MUSIC, that I feel it is not FROM ME! You know, I can compose a song out of my knowledge, but someone can compose a song by the spirit. It's the latter that I am experiencing this evening!!!

I hope that more wonderful things will happen with my music. Last week, I cried to the Lord. Abraham has left, and I am no where to replace him. For the things he is skilled, I am not. Other musicians asked for this, I can't do it. The worship leader desire for that, I am not capable. It's out of my technique & knowledge...

Last week, I found 5 rental properties on the internet which is applicable in applying, moreover, when I log-in to the web this morning, there is only 1 left. I have no idea why the other 4 has been removed... A little bit of a shock! But anyhow, when God has reserve a property for me, it won't be a problem in applying!

I look forward to move... (did I get bored with Murrumbeena???)

Regarding the interview on Christmas Eve, the manager has replied me. I should say... I'm employed. Yet there is no confirmation for work. My teaching allocation depends on the children's enrollment, not my manager... Every single child in Victoria is having holiday, so do this music studio. And I am forced to WAIT & SEE then!

Nonetheless, I have received another reply. One music company is recruiting teachers to teach in schools in the southern/ south-eastern/ south-western suburbs. One of the requirements is to have a CAR. I asked how much travelling is involved. The reply was... teachers need to carry 5 keyboards & stands & equipments to schools each time, and that's the reason they asked for own car! But to my surprise, the manager said she wants to speak to me about my qualifications & the car situation. (note: I have not send her my CV yet!) Are they that IN NEED for teachers? The manager asked for my contacts & said will call me up on Monday!!! OH!!! This time I learned, really, if you do not meet all the selection criteria, do HAVE A GO! You never know what happens!

By the way, the working with children check for TEACHERS has closed the application date! I am handing in my application tomorrow, I hope it will be FINE!!! No matter who employs me, no check, can't work
