Tried to attempt doing the new unit "Be Competent in Advanced Business Document". Basically I believed that I am using Word in the Advanced level, so this unit won't be a big deal for me. I aimed to finish it in a day or so and kick off its assignment asap. However, the instructions from the manual is for Word 2003 in Windows. I struggled a lot as Mac has different function keys for Word!!!

I am getting back to S6010 tomorrow for the assignment >.<

The lady told me that she will call me in the afternoon yesterday. However, I didn't receive her call.

I wake up and surely the first time came to my head is the interview & my job! I have already made up my mind that I am not successful due to the skill test poorly done. A friend said although I don't have those IQ/problem solving skills, I have 知識水平. I want to laugh again... really, as a university graduate, I can't do simple calculations!

Frankly, almost all my way from Primary to Foundation, I fail Chinese & Mathematics. If you know how much I ignore Chinese, I would say, it's the same as Mathematics! HAHAHA!

By 10:30am, I made up my mind to call the company and see how my application goes. Nevertheless, I don't want to wait and guess. I called and found out that the lady has FORGOTTEN to call me back!!! (Next time if you don't get a call back from an interviewer, don't assume you are not successful!) Okay... to my surprise, my application was successful!

Thanks PAPA for the job! Got training starting on Friday!!!

Today landed the 7th job interview in these 4 months. I was given a skill test to do. The lady said it would take 40 minutes, moreover, I had spent an hour and 5 minutes to do it. The test worth 80% and around 60% of it test your knowledge of English - vocabularies, punctuation, homonyms, IQ, etc. I know I screwed up the Mathematics component, which I could have lost 20% of the marks. The interviewer just asked me to read a passage afterwards and dismissed me.

Brother Ham said those Mathematics problem, were taught in primary school.

The above is one of the questions. Other than that, are some problem solving & some calculations. I nearly forgotten how to do square roots! And then... all these years, since F3, I started to use a calculator, I have almost ignored how to calculate simple Mathematics by my brain!!! Not to mention about the times table, and how to solve calculations with decimal numbers...

For Homonyms:

I know the first one is an "altar" and the second one is "alter". However, although I keep reading the English bible everyday, I regret that I have forgotten how to spell "altar" !!!

When I returned home, I feel that I can put in my CV that I have excellent written & aural English >.< !!!

Anyhow, it was fun!

A letter from the Department of Justice


I happened to be in the city today and so I visited the post office and see if my rental post box has any mail. I unlocked the box and looked in... not a surprise to see most of the letters are business letters...

There were 2 letters from the Department Of Justice.

I was astonished.

I thought to myself... do I have to leave Australia in 28 days for my PR has been disapproved?

' O ' ...

"Department of Justice...?"

I locked the box and settled to open the letter. It was the WWC/ working with children check!

Hahaha... I applied for it in early January and now they send me the assessment & my card, oh!!!

I can teach children now!

This is not the first time I scare myself off.

Each day I am expecting calls from any potential employer, and so if any unknown number called my mobile, I would be a little nervous and I also got scared when my mobile rings.

PR lodged 5th month, nothing happened, I saw from the application status that they haven't yet open my file.

It seems to be a time of WAITING. Waiting for the unknown, yet hopeful things in life.

Entered into the 4th month of job seeking. My call centre job is still on and I am sometimes getting offered for some casual works in music. Well... I just finished my day and tidied my folder. Every time I applied for a job, I will print the job ad for my record, the folder is getting full now... Will I need to open up a new folder before I can settle down in a more decent job?

It's not really that I don't get a job, but more are the side factors along the way which prevents me from taking them. Cars essential / require MYOB knowledge / no public transport accessible / work experience is a must -//- all these... I don't know what to say...

Finally I've received a call from the music studio. The training will be starting on 21st, however, I am not included. I've got a mixed feeling... somehow I feel relieved being exempt to travel 3 hours each day and to teach some Aussie kids. On the other hand, I grieved a bit, it's a decline... it's not my fault, just that there are too many outstanding & outgoing fun people who works better than me with the kids. Fair enough.

I do appreciate the culture in Australia. Around 95% of the company would let you know if your application is unsuccessful, at least I won't need to wait and wonder every day!

The internet server was down yesterday. I tried to call the customer service but it was an answer machine, asking me to call back in an hour's time. If you are staying online most of the time, you will know that suffering when your internet is not connected. More to that, as I am eagerly waiting for my e-mails from any potential employer, I felt the more empty the whole morning...

until, I recalled that my mobile is capable to connect to the internet!!! XD

I've got a call today from my agent, telling me that my rent for December is overdue!

I was shocked and checked my account records...

I have made a wrong transfer last month, I paid my rent $7xx to AXL Sales!

I called AXL, but the lines are busy and since last month, I have left AXL and changed to another electricity provider.

my financial institute will be making a request for me to retrieve back the fund, but it is 50% successful rate.

I need your prayers :( ~ hopefully the fund can be returned!
