Today morning when I was eating in Maxim, I saw an old men sitting a few sits away from me. He looked really old(I guess around 80) and he had difficulties with walking. It was then I noticed he dropped something under the table and he tried, with his biggest effort to find and pick that stuff up. It was a hard job for him. I was watching, everyone was watching. Half a minute gone, he still couldn't complete his task. Then I heard someone said "我幫你執吖？", it was an accented Cantonese. I looked at that person and I could tell she came from the Philippines. The old man responded "自己泥得啦". I was astonished. No one sitting near by wished to give their helping hands apart from that lady. I saw shame on people faces, I was ashamed, too. It was only the Filipino caring the Chinese old man. Finally, he picked it up, he was panting. A sudden silent was within the area. Should I give my helping hands earlier, or, may be the next time? I thought.
