恭喜咪莉~~
相信......
個人展覽會是不遠的事

和江到老地方去

無故成了輔導員
就因為一個的COMMENT
昨天被20 多人ADD 了
每個ADD 我的
也和我談了很久
同時間應付很多個DIALOGS
嘩~~吃不消
有四個特別麻煩
一聊就聊上接近三個小時
SYU 嘛........
是別人的最後希望
雖然.........很不喜歡SYU
但也沒和人家說實話
在別人面前
當然要盡想SYU 的好處啦~~
這些時刻
還是鼓勵他們比較好
雖然............全是陌生人
但伸手助人一把
總是好的

結果嘛
被人覺得........我是個超成熟的人
而且.......為人很好......ORZ
其實
只不過是男生的思想仍很幼稚罷了

As I think that’s useful for F.6 student, I post it as a new entry rather than a reply of your query.
In my excel spreadsheet which posted previously, as can be seen, there have a column called “the difference percentage between my score and 07 median”
Under that column, the formula is
(my score minus 07 median)/my score *100%
That’s really helpful when I was ranking the JUPAS programs. As a larger number means you get a better chance to enter that department.

P.S. the 85% of band b...haha~~By intuition only

For POLYU Cut-off Score:
AL subject: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
AS subject *0.6
POLYU will calculate all the subjects that you take. As an example
UE: C, CLC: A, CHEM: D, BIO: D, M&S(AS): D, LS(AS): A
the score will be:
(3+5+2+5)*0.6 +2+2
=13
If you score can’t meet the cut-off score, which means that, you won’t stand any chance to enter. Once the cut-off score had been calculated, it follows by the Admission Score.

Admission Score
(As I send an email for clarity previously, the staff told me this)
Each department have their preferred subjects, if the subjects you take is under the preferred subjects list, which means that you will have a higher score. Just take OT as an example.
Their preferred subjects are as followings:

Applied Mathematics;

Biology;

Chemistry;

Chinese Language & Culture;

Chinese Literature;

Computer Studies/Computer Applications;

English Literature;

Physics;

Psychology;

Pure Mathematics/Mathematics & Statistics; and

Use of English

For the admission score:
preferred subjects give a weight of 10, while others give a weight of 7
therefore, the admission score is
3*10+5*10+2*10+2*10+2*10+5*7
=175

POLYU has NO penalty for more than 1 AL sitting.

UST: (Just suitable for the Faculty of Science, Professor Fung from the Department of Chemistry told me this during the interview held on last year)
A=10, B=8, C=6, D=4, E=2
AS subject *0.6
UST will calculate the 3AL /2AL+1AS/ 2AL+2AS subjects. BUT they won't count your language subjects.
By the same example:
the score will be
4+4+[(4+10)*0.6]
=16.4

UST has light penalty for more than 1 AL sitting.

CITYU
A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
They will count your BEST 4AS subjects
1AL=2AS
Same as UST, they won’t consider your language subjects
For this example
the score will be
5+2+2+2
=11

CITYU has NO penalty for more than 1 AL sitting.
Consider IELTS band 6.0 as E grade of UE

CE Score: Grade Point Average of the best 7 CE subjects including 2 language subjects in a single sitting of HKCEE
AL Score: Grade Point Average of AS Use of English + AS Chinese Lang. & Culture + 2AL (or 1AL plus 2AS) subjects in a single sitting or combined sittings of HKALE

CU has light/median/heavy (depends on which department you apply for) penalty for more than 1 AL sitting. More, they won’t consider more than 1 CE sitting.

那時就不應等校內試和面試完結
就早點去找工作啦..........""""""
別人都在工作
我在家裡HEA
毫無目的地.......作曲
自上年暑假起
就愛上這玩意

暑假.........還餘下兩個月
這兩個月怎過呀~~~
一星期也覺得多啦
~~
聽見我弟說要到補習社補中文
就覺得好笑
真的不能理解
中文如何能補?!?!

還記得中六暑期補CHEM
送的三堂何添中化
那個................哈
完全只有一字形容-----------廢！
或許.....免費的東西就是這樣
第一堂
在小班房看電視
唔~~也有三十多人
一小時後......走了一半
第二堂
又是在小班房看電視
這次只有十多人上課
最後一堂
就只餘下數人
連我........也急不住想離去
但.....還是坐到最後一刻
看看他說什麼

三堂所謂的中化補習班
是一生中最最最最廢的課堂
或許因為這個原因
覺得我弟要去補中文很可笑~~~

不過............他的中文水平
卻真的很差~~~~~~~
閱讀理解也可得零分~
還有藉口說著因為自己讀的是英中~~

很是矛盾

比3AL 取CCD 還要高一點
但又未至於是CCC

I can't be rational while I am reprioritizing my JUPAS choices. I have got one particle of prejudice of BU's laboratories. Once I visited BU's laboratories, it leaves me a BAD impression. That moment, I resolved, I don't want to study in BU, unless I have no other choice. So, when Candy recommended me to put BU's Applied Biology-Biotechnology and Applied Biology-Environmental Science in Band B instead of POLYU's Applied Biology with Biotechnology and Chemical Technology, it just little bit hard for me to consent to.
After explaining, discussing and cooling-off myself, I tried to be rational to make my final decision.
That's what the old says "lookers-on see most of the game", that's quite true, right?
I can give an apropos recommendation to others, however,..........the problems of myself........erha.....
can't look into and find out the most suitable solution.

HKU 的計分方法.......
原來一直被人誤導了
知道了正確的計分方法後(希望沒被人騙.....那人自稱HKU 教授花了一小時去向他解釋計分方法)
嘩~~~
如果計分方法真的如他所說的話
HKU 文學士和工學士
也頗穩~~
修2AL+2AS 的比3AL 更有利
